Jutte is a metal rod with a hook mostly known as a police's equipment used during the Edo era. The general issued ones are much shorter compared to the ranking officer's type which varied in length from 30cm and up. The hook helped catch and locked weapons of criminals along with other usages like cling on to the wrist (personally sharpened ones) to execute any moves.
